St. Martin De Porres Hospital is a medical and health facility that focuses on the universal healthcare needs of the public.
It was founded in Septemtember 15, 1984 by Dr. Modesto and Evelyn Pacquing. After working and training General Surgery in Frankfurt Germany, Dr. Modesto convinced his wife Evelyn to go back home to the Philippines to serve their motherland. With great motivation and determination to exercise their medical talents, resources and energies to the service of their town mates, particularly the sick and afflicted, a hospital was born. The hospital started as a primary hospital facility with only 5-bed capacity. As the hospital consistently grew bigger, it became a mission and vision to develop a health facility that is committed to the outmost physical, emotional and spiritual care of every patient in the local community and neighbouring towns.
In the span of three decades, St. Martin De Porres Hospital continuously renewed its unwavering commitment to meet the changes and challenges in the delivery of health care services. The institution became more indomitable to improve and provide patients advance medical technology and facilities in Candon and the Ilocos region. It aims to provide the necessary training and expedient environment for all individuals involved in the health care delivery system. Our institution is at its prime pose and is making every effort work to continuously grow and meet the health needs of the new tomorrow.
